Schulte Group acquires Pronav and strengthens LNG capability

Since it was set up, Pronav claims to have successfully undertaken more than 2,100 LNG voyages and 4,200 cargo transfer operations.
The move comes at a key moment in the shipment of LNG by sea. Volumes are expanding, new trades are being established, and contractual arrangements between shippers and carriers are changing. The Schulte Group already manages 23 LNG carriers, will take delivery of one 174,000m3 vessel this year, and has a LNG bunkering vessel under construction. The company owns a diverse fleet of about 100 vessels and manages some 600 ships in all segments.
The contract, which involves the sale of all Pronav shares to the Schulte Group, is subject to approval by Germany’s competition authorities (Bundeskartellamt).

Germany’s Schulte Group is expanding its LNG carrier management capability with the acquisition of Hamburg-based Pronav, a privately-owned specialist in LNG carrier operations originally established in 1995.
