Subsea support and construction vessel from Norway

Norway-based shipbuilding group Kleven Maritime signed a contract with Olympic Shipping to build a type MT 6022 MK II subsea support and construction vessel.

The newbuilding was designed by Marin Teknikk, Norway

The 115m-long and 22m-wide unit will be built at Kleven Verft in Ulsteinvik, Norway. Crew accomodation is available for 110 persons. A 250-tonne crane for subsea operations will be installed on deck. The total contract value is around NOK 600 million and it includes an option for a further vessel of the same type. Delivery is set to the third quarter of 2013.
